Photos of the Day: Anthropologie

I recently discovered that each Anthropologie store is responsible for coming up with their own displays…that makes me appreciate the displays so much more! Each store gets inspiration to work off of….but each store display is built individually by that particular location.

I watched our local store work on some of their displays recently. How cool is this wall made of crushed cans and floral shapes from metallic HVAC tape:

These huge hangings are made of spray painted burlap, foil and paper layered:

This huge chandelier was in the process of being made…..out of saran wrap! So cool!

This is random but I thought this list was hilarious…..it is a few of the one-off Google searches that have brought people to my website in the past month:

pig felt
sorry you are having a bad day
making love to ashley
what is blue boo
i peed my pants
yay for poop
truck names
stirrup leggings
sardine can
i’ll eat you up
pumpkins with hair on them
met a dolphin and it said megan i’m saving your life

*****

Babble.com had the nicest article up today about Lil Blue Boo. (Mom, I know you wanted to read it so I’m linking it to the image below so you can find it! Just click the mouse on the picture.) I thought it was funny that they linked up Boo’s laser dance video.

XOXO,

Ash

Cute.. I bet you have some of the silliest little phrases ever.. Now here are my thoughts (just know I am one of the old lady fans): think anyone just comes to look at Mr. Lilbluboo… Note to self: Not many pics of him.. ha! Don’t you love being able to see those search options. Who would have thought years ago we would be able to do that…. and this old lady can’t find you on PIN interest, in my own defense they don’t have many instructions on that site. From the girl who reads instructions before she asks a dumb question.

    pull and bear
    shiny things crafting tutorials
where to get beautiful wedding corsages in london

    bugs and fishes by lupin
    pinboard tutorial
    fabric pin board tutorial
    1955 old jeans
free pattern for breast cancer quilt using pre stitch fabric

and these are just things that are completely random and nothing to do with the title of my blog , of the subjects of any posts

Hey Ashlee! I just discovered your blog via pinterest.
I’m travelling from Argentina to Spain really soon to meet my two little sisters: one of them is 2, the other is 4. I am super excited, of course, and now I am even more because of the *FANTASTIC* tutorials you share!!!! They are really something different to make, and the kids will love them!
So, thank you so very much for sharing all your awesome creativity..
    lots of love!

Love the google searches. That gave me a laugh this morning. I used to work at Anthro as a manager and it is an amazing company. They have a visual manager that like you said gets inspiration but I love the fact that every store is different. Even the apparel and home managers get to move things around everyday and it feels like a new store every time you walk in. Hope you are feeling better today.

That list of google searches may be the funniest thing I’ve read all week! Isn’t it flattering to know that things like “peeing my pants” and “yay for poop” lead people to your blog? Ah, hilarious! On the other hand, it is very nicely offset by the “Move over Martha” article. I guess those both are testament to why I love this blog so much: tons of creativity and very real reality. :)
