I’ve shared so much of the journey of the days following my father’s death this year that I wanted to share this in case any of you might want to watch it. You’ve all been so supportive and encouraging to us and I’m so appreciative. The Golf Channel is airing the World Club Championship highlights tomorrow (12/8) at 4:30 (eastern). It was the last tournament my dad played in and he passed away on the flight back. There will be a tribute to my dad in the programming. I’m nervous, excited, sad, thankful and hesitant all at the same time. I’ll be recording it so we can watch it together as a family tomorrow night.
If you happen to miss it tomorrow it will re-air on Thursday 12/29 at 2:00p (eastern).

That picture of your father is so special. My parents went to Scotland last year and my dad has that exact same picture of himself walking over that bridge. St. Andrew’s is such a special place for ANY golfer (not me though!) . he looooves golf. And he LOVES that bridge.
Hope your dad’s “visit” is lovely. I imagine it will be a roller coaster! Sending a virtual ((((hug)))).
I understand your mix of feelings– excited, nervous, sad, happy… Each time I watched a tribute or read an obituary or article about my dad, after he passed away, I had those mixed emotions rushing in as well. But it was always a welcome visit abd celebration of a life well lived. Enjoy!
My DVR is set, would love to hear more about your father. He sounds like such a great guy. Sending a hug for today and everyday.
Oh that’s Wonderful! I’m just reading your post so of course I’ve missed it but I’m gonna DVR it for the 29th. I just love it when children/ adults talk lovingly about their parents b/c I can totally relate. My father passed away 5 yrs ago and I thought he ‘hung the moon’! I was totally a daddys girl and I love him sooo much. (Oh and I have an awsome Mom too) So ‘I Get Good Feeling’ (love that song!) when I read about the love you have for your father. I wish every child could speak lovingly about their parents. Having a supportive/ healthy and loving relationship with your parents is soo important in shaping who children are and who they become and the cycle continues.
